“固体废物系统生命周期评估模型培训课程”依托于第十届国际工业生态学国际会议(ISIE 2019)举办,属于ISIE 2019会议的会前培训课程。该课程由清华大学、北京师范大学和丹麦技术大学三所国际知名高校联合举办。该培训课程主要介绍固体废物生命周期评估的科学理论和系统方法,并培训应用目前国际最先进的LCA模型软件EASETECH,课程培训和会议期间广大研究者和管理者可以充分交流讨论,传递固体废物的生命周期评估理念和方法,从而大力促进我国乃至国际固体废物系统管理的科学发展。

课程内容

该课程主要内容为废物管理及其生命周期评估(LCA)方法,重点包括固体废物管理系统中各种过程和技术的模型模拟和评估方法,固体废物生命周期模型的数据结构和模型操作。在课程期间通过演示与讲解,将介绍固体废物生命周期模型中设置不同情景(比较系统)、获取有关废物处理过程以及外部过程(电力,燃料燃烧等)数据、进行环境影响评估以及数据解释、并通过EASETECH模型实现生命周期评估的方法与过程。课程还将讲解LCA建模的ISO标准、局限性和敏感性分析等内容。特别地,将以课程练习形式为参与者提供对实际案例的模拟和分析,以便学习固体废物生命周期评估的具体模型操作,并深入了解如何处理生命周期评估和模型模拟的具体问题。

课程费用:课程费用为每人1500元人民币。EASETECH无商业或盈利企图,课程费用完全用于课程组织、课程材料、午餐和茶点等。交通和住宿费由参与者自理。

报名者请于2019年4月1日前向课程联系人发送报名邮件(yanzhao@bnu.edu.cn)。报名者需提供一份自荐信(motivation letter)说明研究背景、领域和学习动机,经课程组织者严格筛选后,于2019年5月1日前通过邮件发送确认函。根据确认函引导支付课程费用后,方视为注册成功。

Training course on LCA modelling of waste management system

Introduction

“Training course on LCA modelling of waste management system” is based on the 10th International Conference on Industrial Ecology (ISIE 2019) and is a pre-conference training course for the ISIE 2019. The course is organized by Tsinghua University (THU), Beijing Normal University (BNU) and Technical University of Denmark (DTU). This training course mainly introduces the scientific theory and systematic method of solid waste life cycle assessment (LCA) and applies the most advanced LCA model software EASETECH. During the course training and ISIE 2019 conference, researchers and managers can fully discuss concept and methodology of Solid waste LCA to promote the development of China and international solid waste system management.

Content of the Course

The course provides an introduction to waste management as well as to LCA methodology. Focus is on providing the technical approach of modeling the various processes and technologies in waste management including the data structure and input to the model. Setting up scenarios (systems for comparison), acquiring data on waste processes as well as external processes (electricity, fuel combustion, etc.), performing the environmental assessment as well as the data interpretation are demonstrated several times during the course and also implemented by the participants using software installed on their own PCs. The course additionally addresses limitations of the LCA modeling, ISO standards on LCA, sensitivity analysis and reporting. Actual case stories are presented as part of lectures in order to provide insight into how real world problems are approached in modelling.

Registration

Participants: The course is intended for PhD students, researchers and faculty within waste management, resource recovery and/or environmental biotechnology and a certain knowledge about waste management is expected.

Course size: Maximum of 35 selected participants with relevant interests.

Course fee:The course fee is 1500 RMB. EASETECH has no commercial ambitions or profit interests, and the course fee contributes to organization of the course, materials, lunch, coffee, refreshments, etc.

Application for the course is done by sending a motivation letter before April 1st 2019 to yanzhao@bnu.edu.cn. Participants and participants are accepted and announced by the organizers via email before May 1st 2019. Registration is confirmed by paying the course fee according to the guidance in the acceptance email.
